Thank goodness for small miracles! I found the camera battery charger! Now we can take pictures this weekend...
A story for you:
Last night while babysitting a friend's 14 month old daughter, I left a cup of water on the table in front of the tv along with my cell phone. For those of you who have children under two, you've got to remember my baby is 6 1/2 and my brain doesn't work the same way it used to. I now think of puppy-proofing things instead of baby-proofing and the puppy mostly doesn't bother anything on that table (unless it is food or smells like food, then it is gone).
I thought the little girl might try to grab the water or the cell phone, but I did not picture what else might happen. Within ten seconds, my cell phone was in the water and all eyes in the room were just staring at a floating phone. Not one child said a word. Kara and Brooke just stared with mouths hanging open. It took me a second to react and make sure I knew what I was seeing. It really was pretty funny. I'll have to admit that I never saw that one coming.
Don't worry, the phone seems to be fine. Other than condensation still built up in the display screen, it seems to have aired out ok and is working. Could have been much, much worse. Do you think Verizon would have bought my story if I told them it was normal wear and use and the phone just stopped working?
