Found it!

Thank goodness for small miracles! I found the camera battery charger! Now we can take pictures this weekend...

A story for you:

Last night while babysitting a friend's 14 month old daughter, I left a cup of water on the table in front of the tv along with my cell phone. For those of you who have children under two, you've got to remember my baby is 6 1/2 and my brain doesn't work the same way it used to. I now think of puppy-proofing things instead of baby-proofing and the puppy mostly doesn't bother anything on that table (unless it is food or smells like food, then it is gone).

I thought the little girl might try to grab the water or the cell phone, but I did not picture what else might happen. Within ten seconds, my cell phone was in the water and all eyes in the room were just staring at a floating phone. Not one child said a word. Kara and Brooke just stared with mouths hanging open. It took me a second to react and make sure I knew what I was seeing. It really was pretty funny. I'll have to admit that I never saw that one coming.

Don't worry, the phone seems to be fine. Other than condensation still built up in the display screen, it seems to have aired out ok and is working. Could have been much, much worse. Do you think Verizon would have bought my story if I told them it was normal wear and use and the phone just stopped working?

May Days

I have gotten terrible about updating this blog since my camera battery charger has gone missing. It's not as if fun things stop happening just since I don't have pictures to post!

Our routine with the dog is settling in - she's got us trained pretty well by now. She's even sleeping in our bed with us. So much for no dog on the furniture - she rules the home. We'll see how long that lasts.

We're excited for a little weekend getaway to St George this weekend. We're glad to have some days to ourselves. This is one of the first weekends in awhile we've been able to sneak away, so it should be fun! We'll meet up with some family coming down from Salt Lake, so we should have a great time. I will try to turn the house upside down looking for the battery charger so (hopefully) we will have some pictures to post next week.
