We've moved!

We moved to Arizona! We have been super busy driving back and forth between Arizona and Utah looking for jobs and places to live... we're finally in the new house and getting settled in.

A big thanks to my parents and to Jeff's parents who all helped us tremendously! Also, to friends and family who came to help unload the truck on the Arizona side!

Hopefully I will have some pics up soon of the house inside. I'm taking my time unpacking the craft room and getting things the way we want... so that post may be a few weeks out.

Last day at the old house... and a Thank you! :)

The last day at the old house was spent in a frenzy of packing and cleaning. The ward members were AWESOME! Several of our friends from church helped us load furniture into the truck. My parents came and were lifesavers... we could not have gotten everything done without them! Thank you to both! :)

This is how we spent the last night at our old house... on air mattresses all together in the master bedroom. Coincidentally, this was the same way we spent our first night in that house together (air mattresses in the master bedroom)!

Kara's birthday

Kara's birthday... we had a fun day together as a family with lots of activities... getting ready to move, relaxing, and enjoying each other's company. We went to Kara's favorite restaurant - Red Lobster - where my friend from nursing school works and got Kara a free dessert to share. We finished the day with a little cake and singing Happy Birthday!

Kara's 12!

My daughter is 12! I can't believe how fast time has flown. Today Kara was welcomed into Young Women and left Primary.

This morning she had her favorite breakfast (ramen noodles).

We love our Kara and hope she has a great birthday!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a fun and busy 4th of July this year... the morning hours were spent packing and then we rested and watched tv for a bit. The break was nice! We took some time in the evening to disassemble and dispose of our basketball hoop (broken and well used). Then while waiting for it to get dark the kids did sparklers and split up the fireworks they were going to light. Aerial fireworks are legal to light here, so we enjoyed watching them be set off in various areas around us while we lit our little ones.

And here are the obligatory fireworks pictures:
